Stage 1 — Candidate Submission & Credential Review

To verify professional background, qualifications, and eligibility.

Stage 2 — Expertise, Alignment & Integrative Assessment

Purpose

To evaluate the candidate’s depth of expertise, professional maturity, and ability to integrate multiple dimensions of human wellbeing.

Candidates submit a professional portfolio including:

  • Areas of specialisation

  • Methodologies used

  • Previous client experience


Evidence of Excellence

  • Case studies

  • Client outcomes

  • Research involvement

  • Teaching experience

  • Speaking engagements

Scientific & Systems Thinking Assessment

Candidates are evaluated on their ability to understand human wellbeing as an interconnected system.

Assessment areas:

 

Scientific Understanding (for scientifically focussed roles)

  • Evidence-informed practice

  • Understanding of relevant research

  • Critical thinking

  • Ability to distinguish evidence, hypothesis, and personal philosophy

  • Ability and willingness to use data to advance knowledge and deepen systemic understanding 

 

Intuitive Skill & Systemic Depth (for intuitively focused roles)

  • Depth of expertise and practice

  • Understanding of the underlying systemic principles and the ability to connect them to universal patterns or scientifically supported concepts where appropriate

  • Critical thinking

  • Ability to distinguish between evidence, hypothesis, and personal philosophy

  • Ability and willingness to use data to advance knowledge and deepen systemic understanding

Stage 3 — Client Session Assessment

 

Purpose

To evaluate how the practitioner applies their expertise in a real client interaction.

  • Candidates prepare and conduct a simulated client session with the interviewer.

  • The assessment evaluates not only knowledge, but the ability to create a high-quality client experience.

  • The assessment also evaluates client session preparation, professionalism, and the candidate’s ability to create a high-quality client experience.

  • The candidate prepares a high-quality professional profile prior to the session, demonstrating how they present themselves and communicate their expertise, experience, and professional proficiency.

1. Discovery & Assessment

The candidate demonstrates:

  • Ability to build trust and rapport

  • Quality of questioning

  • Active listening

  • Identification of key patterns

  • Understanding of the client's context

 

2. Systems Analysis

The candidate demonstrates the ability to assess the interconnected factors influencing the client.

  • Mental frameworks

  • Values and purpose

  • Environmental factors

 

3. Professional Recommendations

The candidate presents:

  • Key insights

4. Client Communication

Assessment includes:

  • Ability to explain complexity simply

Stage 4 — Quality Assurance, Ongoing Accreditation & Career Progression

 

Purpose

To maintain excellence after acceptance.

New practitioners enter an initial quality assurance period.

Annual requirements:

Luminous Practitioner
Professionals who meet the Luminous standards for professional excellence, scientific integrity, and quality of care.

 

Luminous Senior Practitioner
Experienced practitioners recognised for their advanced expertise, consistent excellence, and contribution to mentoring, education, or knowledge sharing within the Luminous ecosystem.

 

Luminous Integrative Director
Domain or Hub leaders recognised for advancing integrative health through innovation, thought leadership, strategic contribution, and the development of the Luminous ecosystem.
